Prefabricated Steel Agricultural Building in Indiana
Sunward Steel Buildings, Inc., was pleased to manufacture and supply this pre-engineered steel agricultural building in Pennville, Indiana, in May of 1997.
Manufactured and delivered within just two months, the building offers unrivaled durability and strength and currently undergoes use as an agricultural barn. Aesthetically pleasing and accommodating, the building was an important part of the infrastructure on the surrounding farm property, which the original property owner used for raising Pulled Herford cattle, among other purposes.
Metal Barn Features & Customizations
Boasting a striking, Misty Gray-colored exterior that blends nicely with the surrounding farm, the metal barn stands 40’x50’x16’ following a fast erection process and provides plenty of room to house cattle or farm supplies. A heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with White trim and a 2:12 pitch offers reliable protection from above, and (3) framed openings serve as additional steel barn features.
Framed openings include (1) 12’x12’ overhead opening enclosing (1) 12’x12’ walk door, (1) 14’x14’ overhead opening containing (1) 14’x14’ overhead door and (1) 3070 walk door opening housing (1) 3070 steel walk door. The prefabricated steel barn also features several accommodations made to help prevent the growth of mold and otherwise maintain the structural integrity of the barn in the face of heavy rain or snow, among them a 100-linear-foot eave gutter and 70 linear feet of downspouts. Other configurations and key features include a 90-mph wind speed rating, which keeps the steel barn in compliance with local building codes.
Affordable, Easy-to-Erect Farm Buildings
In addition to being more durable and lasting longer than most traditional wooden buildings, prefabricated metal barns are also easier and less-expensive to maintain over their lifetimes, resulting in major savings for the barn owner. They are also highly configurable in terms of roof height, doors and windows, ventilation, insulation, stalls, bays and aesthetic components, allowing buyers to design them in line with their unique needs and specifications.
A lightly populated area in east-central Indiana, the town of Pennville falls within Penn Township, in Indiana’s Jay County. The community is located about 94 miles northeast of Indianapolis and about 28 miles outside Muncie.
