Papa John’s Pizza Building in Massachusetts
Sunward Steel Buildings, Inc. fabricated and supplied this preconstructed steel building for a customer in Fall River, Massachusetts, in February of 2013.
Currently, it functions as Papa John’s Pizza, Fall River’s local edition of the popular Italian take-out and delivery chain. Know for its pizza, wings and similar menu offerings, Papa John’s has a more than 30-year history in the industry, operating in excess of 5,000 stores across 45 countries. This particular Papa John’s location caters to residents and businesses throughout Fall River and the surrounding Bristol County area.
An Affordable, Durable Alternative to Wood Construction
Stone Beige in color, this pre-engineered metal building serves as a restaurant and kitchen for Fall River’s Papa John’s, and it features an open, clear-span design that eliminates obstructions and maximizes retail commercial space. In comparison with traditional wooden structures, prefabricated steel buildings are quick and easy to erect, saving owners substantial money on construction costs, and this particular steel building stands 60’x70’x11-13.5’ once erect.
Overhead, a rugged Galvalume roof with a 0.5:12 pitch provides protection against the New England elements, while (3) 3070 framed openings enclosing (3) 3070 commercial walk doors serve as additional restaurant characteristics. Other features included to help reduce corrosion and divert water away from the metal building’s foundation include an eave gutter along the building’s low side and 40 linear feet of downspouts across four locations.
Proudly Serving Southern Massachusetts
An increasingly popular construction choice among those seeking buildings to use for retail or commercial purposes, prefabricated metal buildings stand strong in the face of moisture, pests and severe weather. They are also inherently fire-resistant and non-combustible, which gives today’s restaurant owners peace of mind that a kitchen fire won’t send their businesses up in flames.
This particular building gives Papa John’s employees a safe, climate-controlled place to provide take-out service and prepare pizza and other offerings for residents and visitors throughout the region. Sustainable and highly customizable, steel buildings are easily enlargeable, should a business owner’s needs change, or should a retail commercial building change hands and assume new ownership.
Part of southern Massachusetts’ Bristol County, the historic and colonial city of Fall River sits along the eastern shore of Mount Hope Bay. The community lies about 52 miles south of Boston and about 18 miles outside Providence, Rhode Island.
