Sunward Steel Buildings, Inc., manufactured and provided this pre-engineered metal building for a customer in Clermont, Florida, in September of 2003.

These days, the durable, economical steel building functions as a winery on the grounds of Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards, a 127-acre estate and production facility known for its chardonnay, pinot grigio, petite sirah, and cabernet sauvignon, among other wine varieties. Florida’s largest winery, Lakeridge offers tours and wine tastings for guests seven days a week, and the property also features an onsite gift shop where visitors can stock up on fine wines, small bites (think gourmet cheese, salsas, and the like) and wine-related accessories.

A popular stop among wine enthusiasts since 1989, Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards is widely known in the industry for pioneering the production of native muscadine grapes. Tours of the property last about 45 minutes and include a guided walking tour, an audio-visual presentation, and an opportunity to taste some of the vineyard’s top wines.

Overhead, a corrosion- and damage-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 1:12 pitch offers protection from the Florida elements, and a 110-mph wind speed rating serves as an additional customization made in accordance with local building code requirements.
